By January 7, 2025February 4th, 2025No Comments

As the calendar turned to 2024, Reactree embarked on an incredible journey filled with growth, achievements, and milestones that defined our year. From expanding our physical space to contributing to major tech events, 2024 was a transformative year for our team. Here is a detailed look at the highlights of the past year and how each event contributed to shaping our vision for the future.

Moving to a Bigger Space: Our Journey’s New Beginning

The year began with one of the most significant milestones for Reactree: moving into our very own office space. Previously working out of a shared office, this move represented our growth as a company. Our new office, perfectly suited to our expanding needs, allowed us to bring in new clients and add talented individuals to our team. This change was not just a physical upgrade but a testament to our collective achievements, setting the tone for a year of progress. It marked the start of our journey toward new opportunities.

Empowering Women in Tech: Blaze Event

On April 20th, we partnered with Women in Tech for their event “Blaze 3.0” at DHA Suffa. Our CEO, Sakina Abbas, shared her insights on leadership and navigating the tech industry as a woman. Her talk inspired many attendees, especially budding entrepreneurs and women in technology.

Mentorship Opportunities: Build with AI Hackathon

The success of the Blaze event also led to Sakina being approached by the GDG Kolachi Team to mentor for the Build with AI Hackathon (BwAI)—a collaboration that would soon turn into one of the year’s most impactful events. Click below to explore more about this part of our journey:

Xtreme Fest: A Platform for Knowledge Sharing

In June, our founders were invited to speak at Xtreme Fest, organized by Muhammad Ali Jinnah University.

  • Abdullah delivered an engaging talk on Prompt Engineering, providing insights into how AI models interpret and respond to user prompts—a skill increasingly crucial in today’s tech landscape.
  • Sakina’s session on Getting Started with Flutter offered a beginner-friendly yet insightful dive into one of the most versatile frameworks for app development.

Both sessions received overwhelmingly positive feedback, further cementing our reputation as a hub for thought leadership in technology. Xtreme Fest was another milestone in our journey of sharing knowledge and expertise.

Google I/O Extended Karachi: A Day of Learning and Collaboration

July brought the excitement of Google’s flagship event, Google I/O Extended 2024, hosted at IBA Karachi. With over 1,000 attendees, the event was a bustling hub of learning and innovation.

Our Contributions:

  1. Workshops:
    • Our senior developers conducted their first-ever workshop on Building Intelligent Apps with Flutter and Gemini. While nervous at first, their passion and expertise shone through, making it a memorable session.
    • Sakina Abbas delivered a talk on App Store Optimization for Beginners, guiding developers on making their apps stand out in a crowded marketplace.
    • Abdullah’s workshop on Building Scalable Apps with Google Task Queue attracted a massive audience, showcasing technical depth and real-world applications.
  2. Pitching Round:
    • The team was inspired by the innovative ideas presented during the Google Cloud Startup Competition, adding to the event’s dynamic atmosphere.

Following this, Sakina attended the virtual Google I/O Extended Lahore, ensuring our presence across multiple platforms. These events were defining moments in our journey of collaboration and innovation.

Celebrating Hard Work: Team Dinner

After months of hard work, September 18th was dedicated to celebrating our team’s dedication with a team dinner. This was more than just a meal; it was an evening of laughter, camaraderie, and recognition. Each team member received shields and certificates, a heartfelt acknowledgment of their contributions to our success.
